willaby was founded over 15 years ago by a mother who wanted nontoxic + modern blankets for her newborn son. On an ever-evolving quest to provide the very best in organic cotton gauze, our brand has grown tremendously since those early days, expanding beyond baby blankets made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton gauze to bedding, accessories, and washable rugs made to the same standard of purity. Staying true to its roots, willaby is still 100% owned by its creator, Kim. Based out of Athens, Georgia since its inception, our company makes it a priority to dialogue with the historical production of cotton in a responsible manner. We believe that safe and ethical production of cotton, the most widely used fiber in the world, can change lives.________ our valueswillaby focuses on timeless, sustainable children’s and home goods made entirely from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton gauze. Our luxuriously soft gauze is woven abroad by textile companies paying a fair wage, providing safe working conditions, and treating our environment with care. We work directly with mills to weave to our specifications, which produces richly colored fabrics that wear and wash up well over time.Our collection is ethically milled and sewn with care in Portugal. Our rugs are handwoven in the U.S. at a family workshop from fabric milled in Portugal. willaby practices a minimal waste policy, incorporating fabric scraps into accessories and handwoven rugs whenever possible. our nameWillaby was owner and designer Kim's childhood nickname, after an artistic, conscience-driven character in her favorite book.
