Our lace heirloom blanket is made from eight layers of unbleached organic cotton gauze with unbelievable loft and softness. It's an object to be snuggled, loved, and treasured; an exquisite gift for babies and children. The generous size of this blanket makes it suitable from newborn to toddler and beyond.

The pink, yellow, and gray lace options for this blanket are hand dyed with natural dyes by willaby designer/owner Kim Woods, in a dye pot. The blue fabric is dyed by Kim in an organic indigo vat. No two hand-dyed laces are alike, each having variations in tone and surface appearance. We consider this a desirable result of the natural hand-dye process.

Measures 44" x 44"
*Mini size 22" x 22" - See second-to-last photo for mini size.

*Please note that the mini is 1/4 the size of the standard heirloom blanket. It functions well as a lovie, but is not large enough to be a covering beyond the newborn stage.

+ 100% GOTS certified organic cotton
+ Unbleached organic cotton gauze, fair-trade woven in an eco-friendly, sustainable mill
+ Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. Tumble dry low.
+ Designed in Georgia. Sewn in Kim's home state of Ohio, in quilters' home studios.

***The puckered state of gauze is achieved with washing and drying. Launder your gauze item in a cold, delicate cycle and tumble dry low. Voilà, you have puckered gauze! The weave of the fabric will appear flat prior to washing, will pucker up with laundering, and may continue to pucker up more with the next wash and dry--achieving the appearance you see in our product photos. (We include this information on an insert with each product.)
