Our geo heirloom quilt is made from eight layers of unbleached cotton gauze with unbelievable loft and softness. Illuminating its center are naturally hand-dyed fabrics, each dyed separately, cut, and assembled into conjoining triangles. It's an object to be used, treasured, and handed down; an exquisite gift for babies and children. The generous size of this blanket makes it suitable from newborn to toddler and beyond. It's as wide as our original heirloom blanket, but more oblong, making it the size of a crib/toddler quilt.
The pink, yellow, and gray fabrics used for this blanket are hand dyed with natural dyes by willaby designer/owner Kim Woods, in a pot. The blue fabric is dyed by Kim in an organic indigo vat. No two hand-dyed fabrics alike, each having variations in tone and surface appearance. We consider this a desirable result of the natural hand-dye process.

*We let our customers and gift recipients experience the magic of puckering the gauze on their blankets themselves! Wash on cold, delicate cycle and tumble dry low as you normally would, and voilà you have a puckered blankie looking just like the ones in our product photos. This means that your blanket will arrive with the fabric looking "flat," will pucker upon washing, and will continue to pucker up more with the next few washes. (We include this information on an insert with each blanket.)
**We are currently clearing out non-organic blankets at 25% off. Check availability in the drop-down menu.
