Discontinued rug colorways on sale for 30% off

willaby partners with a family of Amish makers near owner/designer Kim Woods's Ohio hometown to make upcycled rugs. Scraps from our cutting table, leftover bolts, and fresh bolts of our current fabrics are woven into these beauties on a home loom. The rugs use every scrap we can possibly incorporate. No fabric is wasted in the process of using fresh bolts, because we cut fabric strips from the entire width of the bolt. In the name of zero waste, we do not trim the selvedge edge from the fabric, and therefore in some rugs you will see pops of contrasting color from the selvedge edge. The ends of the rugs are sewn with treadle sewing machines, and if weaving takes place after dark, it happens under oil lamp light. This means that from start to finish, absolutely no electricity is used in the construction of this product.

Available in 3 sizes. Because every rug is handmade, each will have a unique appearance and may slightly vary in size.

2 1/4' x 2'  [bath mat, changing mat, play mat, door mat]*
2 1/4' x 4'  [nursery rug, bath rug, Montessori play mat, kitchen rug]*
2 1/4' x 6'  [entryway rug, mudroom rug, kitchen runner]*

Click through the photos to view all rug sizes. The 4 1/2' x 6' area rug is shown in the undyed gauze colorway.

    + 100% undyed organic cotton gauze + 50% cotton/50% linen
+ Machine wash cold, delicate cycle, never in warm or hot water. Tumble dry low. Gauze shrinks up to 20% with drying. If you wish to prevent this shrinkage, do not place in dryer and instead hang to dry.

Choose your trim color using the drop-down menu.
(From top to bottom: berry, goldenrod, oyster, aquamarine, sky, graphite)

Our toddler sham is made from four layers of unbleached organic cotton gauze with unbelievable loft and softness. It's trimmed with a delightfully crumpled linen/cotton mitered edge. For children who already have one of our heirloom blankets, the presence of the same softness and texture in their bedding helps them to transition to their toddler bed, or makes their current bed a more comfortable place. For children who are new to our gauze, this will be their dream bedding!

There are no buttons or zippers on this pillow sham. The back has a flap closure. This pillow can be used decoratively or as a bedtime pillowcase. We think that the rules are fluid--especially when kids are involved!

    26" x 19" prior to laundering,
    20" x 18" after laundering*

(Measurements include 2" trim; actual pillow encasement will measure approx. 18" x 16")

+ 100% GOTS certified organic cotton with 50% cotton/50% linen trim
+ Unbleached organic cotton gauze fabric is made in an eco-friendly, sustainable mill
+ Machine wash cold, delicate cycle. Tumble dry low.
+ Designed and sewn in Georgia

*The puckered state of gauze is achieved with washing and drying. Launder your gauze item in a cold, delicate cycle and tumble dry low. Voilà, you have puckered gauze! The weave of the fabric will appear flat prior to washing, will pucker up with laundering, and may continue to pucker up more with the next wash and dry--achieving the appearance you see in our product photos. (We include this information on an insert with each product.)

**Please note that your sham will appear oversized prior to washing. This is because we account for the good bit of shrinkage inherently involved in the first few washings of gauze.
